(Holy shit, first blog post in almost a year!)
In a nutshell, this post from NORML (Drug Czar’s Office To NORML: ‘We Can’t Legalize Marijuana Because Some People Abuse Prescription Drugs!’ Wait, Huh?) shows how fucking moronic the government is with regard to the medical uses of marijuana.
From what I just read, I can honestly conclude that the drug czar is retarded. (Wait, is calling him “retarded” insulting to other mentally challenged individuals?)
Good news is, PBS continues to air segments on the reality of marijuana. And why shouldn’t they, they’re about educating America, right? Doing a good job so far. They’re now on my donation list for when I get super-rich.

BTW, the doctor at 2:55 (Dr. Eric Voth) says that THC should be isolated, which is contrary to what my doctor told me. According to her, studies have shown that THC by itself is not effective without the CBD.
For those with complete faith in modern medicine—which IS good for health most of the time—you can stick to your pharmaceutical drugs while everyone concerned about their overall health tries to AVOID them in lieu of eating right and using more natural remedies. If marijuana can’t be considered legally a medicine, then just fucking legalize it so we can use it as a natural home remedy (which is actually closer to what it really is).
I’m perfectly ok with admitting that maybe it’s not “medicine” according to the government’s definition. But if we keep calling weed “medicine” and cite the cases where it has remedied several medical conditions… well, that seems to be a great way to get the government to make an ass of themselves.
Scientists: “It destroys cancerous cells and doesn’t kill the patient like chemo does. Seems like this is a good thing.”
Government: “It can’t be regulated and its abuse cannot be prevented, so the drug that has been proven to destroy cancer must remain illegal and cannot be considered ‘medicine’ by the FDA’s definition. But way to go, guys… on that cancer discovery.”
